Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is “telehealth”?

Telehealth refers to therapy conducted using virtual platforms. Some common platforms used are Zoom and Doxy.Me. Sometimes, clients prefer just to do their telehealth therapy simply over the telephone. Currently, therapy services are only being offered via telehealth at this time. Once COVID-19 limitations have been lifted, we can discuss meeting in person. Until then, let’s just do our part to ensure that we remain healthy and safe!

How frequently will we meet for therapy?

Therapy is driven by you and tailored to your needs! So that means that you can decide how often or infrequent your sessions are. We typically recommend meeting weekly as you begin to build a therapeutic relationship and get to know one another. However, if that doesn’t work for your schedule, that’s perfectly okay too! We’ll figure out something that works!

How do I find your availability?

Availability changes per week so it is best to call or email to schedule an initial appointment. Typically, availability includes the evenings as well as some weekends (excluding Sundays). Once we have our first appointment, we will always schedule our following appointment at the end of your session.

What insurances do you accept?

Currently, all therapy services are cash only/self-pay. However, we do accept payment from an HSA or FSA if you have either of those accounts through your insurance. Additionally, we recommend that you check with your insurance provider to determine if they offer out-of-network benefits. We are more than willing to provide you with an invoice at the end of our session to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What are my payment options?

Cash, Check and other cashless options are available. We can discuss specifics at your free consultation.

You mentioned a “sliding scale” on another page. What is that?

A “sliding scale” or “sliding fee” refers to a discounted rate for therapy services based on a potential client’s acknowledgment of financial hardship. Talk with your therapist during the initial consultation if you need more information.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, you must do so within 24 hours of your appointment without penalty. Cancellations later than 24 hours will result in a $50 late/cancellation fee to be paid before your next visit. No call/No shows are subject to a no-show fee equivalent to the session fee scheduled for the day.
